When going over the posts from February 2009 I found some moderately interesting stuff and then one real gem. And it was not the fact that we passed epoch time 1234567890.
Reading about open space parties I realized that the same can be said about team events. I think a lot of team struggle to find the perfect team building event that everybody likes but unless you are hiring copies of yourself you will likely fail. And don't sweat! In my opinion it is OK if some people on the team skips certain events because they are not interested. It only becomes a problem if some people never attend a team event. At least in my opinion.
But once a team event happens, whoever comes is the right people and whatever happens is the only thing that could have happened.
